I have hand built several flutes in the past, and was excited to see this flute designed by "pfh" and wanted to give it a try. I printed the Alto Flute size in the three piece socketed variation. Sounds very nice and looks nice as well. I really like how the Silver Metal PLA looks.
After printing I used a small oval file to clean up a few of the note holes, and put one layer of grey Oatey FASTape #30621 PTFE thread seal tape on both of the tenons. This made for a very nice fit and also seals it up which gives a better sound.
Thanks for sharing your design!
(One suggestion/request, is that I think this flute would look very nice with a small raised ring on the very end of the foot to match the head piece.)
