I had ordered some masterspool filament from fiberlogy, but needed the actual spool. Was going to be all yellow, using up some very old PLA, but I accidentally printed the A side twice. The second one ran out my cheap yellow spool, but I had equally old remnants of white and green in the same brand (3D Mars) and with Prusa Mk3 pausing each time a remnant spool would run out, I wound up with this nice pair of two-tones.
The only issue I've had is that when screwed together, there is a little extra space, so the
B piece turns several degrees further past the tie slots before it stops tight. I put a small rubber band around the bottom of the threads that added just enough extra space to fix this. There's a small blemish in the print surface, but that white was very old and probably moisture damaged. Otherwise the prints are great, and the layer adhesion, even at the color transitions, is rock solid -- remarkably so for older filament.
