The black one was the first test print I did on my new 3D printer, and I’ve done a few more as test prints since then, as they’re small and fast.

The ability to print them fast and in large quantities is definitely an advantage. If you break one you can just print a new one on the spot. You can really play around with the settings and push your printer to extremes. I've managed to print one in under 4 min. Not nearly as perfect but under 4 min it is
Ironically, I don't even play the guitar, it just happens to be a really nice quick test so I've already got 9 printed in the 3 days I've owned my printer so far. In particular, the hex pattern is a good plate adhesion test; if you don't have good adhesion, the hexes will turn into scrambled eggs and you can figure it out almost immediately. Thanks!
