Printed vertically, since I figured that would minimize supports and give the cleanest look. The wall piece doesn't require any supports printed this way and the door piece only needs supports in the inside channels.
My trim is angled, so I had to mount it above the trim on the drywall. Also this is a bathroom door and it hits a towel bar and can't quite open all the way, so I had to put this closer to the hinges. It was easier than making the door stop longer lol. I mounted it with VHB tape. I did not do any sanding or anything, just printed and installed. Works great, will be making more.
