Print quality is pretty rough. Pencil are random ones I found in the shop next to where I live. I really like how colorful it look :)
The light ball is the plastic ball found inside the giant ferrero rocher.
One version have a 1/4" jack screwed inside, connected to a socket for a g4 light bulb. A 20W g4 can be kept on all day inside the ball without damage. The jack is strong enough to keep the ball 'floating'. The shade catch should be able to grip on a standard jack cable. No guarantee though, I made my cable myself and the jaw are pretty far appart.
Second version use a more standard setup, with all the electrical component reused from an old bedlamp. On that one, the shade catch cannot grip the cable at all but I use it as a spacer between the C joint and the bulb socket. I use again a giant ferrero rocher ball to protect eye from direct exposure to the lamp. I cut the whole flat part (use glove for cutting, I didn't and I regret it) and it was good for a small screw type light bulb. The 4W led light bulb shine pretty well through the ball, a bit too much for direct eye contact. I haven't tested all day but so far, no damage.
I'm pretty happy so far. I may add more matter to the middle ring for better shading property.
