Looking great \o/
That looks great, I'd love to hear any feedback you've got on it, since I haven't been able to print one for myself yet. I was a little worried about the scale of it, but it looks like it came out pretty close to in-game. You're the first person to make one, so I hope you don't mind my curiosity.
I thought i would have a hard time printing and assembling it, but the way you clustered the gun into different parts is really great. The main body (26,6 cm) fits right in the Replicator 2 (28,5 cm), and it seems to be at the right size. I printed all the parts (except the main body) in high quality, and the body itself in standard, and I really could not ask for a better resemblance to the in-game model.
I printed it in blue (randomly), and sprayed it with white paint. To get the closest to the in-game look, i'd print everything in black, and carelessly spray all non-grip parts with silver/grey, to get a nice feeling of real/having-been-used-a-lot. Then paint the rest of the details with stencils and a lot of patience.
I printed the main body upside-down, so that I wouldn't have a ton of support PLA to remove afterward. The supports on and in the side details were a pain in the butt to remove, and those on the top were also quite difficult to get rid of without damaging the part itself. If I had to reprint it, i'd prefer more raft/supports on the bottom, and have the top clean.
Another solution would be to split the body in the middle for two identical parts, which would reduce the necessary supports to none, but would leave an ugly line all over the weapon, which i'd rather not have. But in the end, one can see that the gun you use in-game has lived a bit, and presents a few scratches: the screwdriver and cutter marks left while removing the supports only add to the charm of the weapon :)
In any case thanks a lot for your model, it's gonna be a lot of fun head-shooting some random vorchas in the street, or make mercenaries understand why it's important to have a shield or a barrier :D If you ever plan to make more Mass Effect weapons, or stuff in general, and can't print them yourself, it'd be a pleasure for me to test them for you and give you a feedback !
