Rubber Duck
Made by cmh, uploadedDescription
I wanted a World Champion duck much like Lucinda Brand got in the X2O Badkamers cyclocross race. (reference https://racing.trekbikes.com/stories/telenet-baloise/lucinda-brand-toon-aerts-win-twin-superprestige-titles-for-baloise-trek - the photo is a litlte more than halfway down) Problem is I don't think I'm going to get one, and honestly, it's a big white fiberglass duck. I don't know where I would keep it.
So I come to thingiverse and find what looks like almost the same exact model. Perfect! Six filament swaps later and I have a World Champion duck, and one that's small enough to fit on top of my desk.

Notes:
Scaled down to 75mm long as I didn't need it quite that big. Sliced in PrusaSlicer with six filament changes. Printed on a Prusa Mini but apparently that's not old enough for Thingiverse to add to their database. The white filament is eSun PLA+ which strings badly on the Mini. Doesn't do it on the MK3S and I haven't bothered trying to chase it down, so the duck winds up looking a bit fuzzy. All of it cleaned off pretty easily, and I didn't bother to get a photo after the fact. Obviously didn't prioritize resolution over print time - went with the coarsest stock layer height of 0.25mm although I did use adaptive layer height which made the more horizontal surfaces look a bit better. Close up photos looks like a mountain of crap, but the printed part held in a hand? Looks just fine, and that's what I was going for.
