I am a math student and automotive machinist. My interests include cad and cg, manufacturing and operations, open source and philanthropy, business management and entrepreneurialism, and finally, desktop manufacturing and 3DP.
As an academic I work in differential geometry and topology, logic and computation, game theory and economics, functional programming knowledge and databases, and most lately, finance and business.
As a maker, I like to design interesting geometries, mischevious electronics, and machine shop tooling. I've been away from actually making things for a long time now, and I miss it dearly.
My mission here is to
1) Design and share neat doodads, and grow as a designer and maker.
2) Learn as much as I can about design customization and design automation.
3) Meet dedicated and insightful makers, and learn as much as I can from them.
To my thought, we can wade the through barriers of knowledge and economics surrounding cad and 3dp. In time, we will make the associated skills and capital goods easy to acquire, and very affordable. I have faith that as we continue to do this, we'll continue to see an amazing growth in personal creativity and prosperity, all over the world. I'd love to have a part in making that possible!
