I design open-source mechanical upper-limb assistive devices. My goal is to completely democratize prosthetics, so that amputees and their families can build, fit and repair effective assistive devices. Household screws, leather, webbing straps, and cables are generally needed to complete a device, although there are several alternative solutions which may replace or obviate some of those materials.
With the goal of accessibility, I strive to empower amputees to empower themselves through education and the free, open, and public sharing of designs and information.
