Pennsylvania's FIRST Tech Challenge ran into some trouble at the 2014 Oxford qualifier, where a team accidentally kicked the USB hub. This unplugged some controllers and we had to replay the match 3 times! We, nor the head FTA, want this to happen in the future, so we designed a shield which the DLink and the cables slide into, with gaps to keep the plugs from coming out.

There are 3 different files - the .ipt is the original native Autodesk Inventor file, the .stp is the generic CAD format, and the .stl is the good stuff. If you wish to make modifications, go right ahead. Let us know if you have any great ideas!

At the East FIRST Tech Challenge Super Regional event, one of the teams was handing out 3D printed blocks similar to the main game element of the year. I decided to replicate that (pun intended, as I use a Replicator 1), which was actually just a scaling of my CAD model of the field.

This object is the perfect size to fit a 12V TETRIX battery pack for the FTC game, protecting it from any hard jolts or impacts during a match and keeping it secure. The holes on the sides of the model keep the object from splitting and warping during the printing process. There is an Inventor Part File (.ipt) included for your own CAD modeling with this design.

Every year at the World Robotics Competition in St. Louis MO people get these awesome earrings. Since we have not been to Worlds yet and they are awesome, we had our CAD designer model them to be printed. They need to be printed separately and take quite a bit to make, despite their size. Enjoy!

The 2013 FTC game, "Block Party", calls for putting a block into the pendulum goals during autonomous. Our team designed this to be mounted onto a servo to drop a block, which fits snug, once the robot finds the IR beacon.
