Not a whole lot to say about myself. I'm unemployed due to a medical disability (which the state won't recognize, /sigh), but have had the gift of great parents to provide a home for myself and my daughter. I attended college for graphic and web design, but since leaving, have taken it upon myself to learn electrical and mechanical engineering, embedded system design, robotics, and more. I have a thirst for knowledge, and find "down time" stressful. If I'm on the couch watching TV, I have my phone in my hand reading articles on the newest scientific research, or learning about a new electronics component, or one of many other things. I view television as a great source of background noise to quiet the "silence" that exists without and that fuels my already severe anxiety disorder. I have three 3d printers, two cartesian and one delta, as well as a filament extruder based on other designs, but designed from the ground up with parts I had available to me with those other designs as more inspiration than reference. I did purchase the official fil-a-winder accessory, however, as I was already well beyond frustrated at that point. I continue to try to learn more every day, until I consider myself skilled enough to be employable. I have wonderful parents that have provided a home for myself and my daughter in their in-law suite in the basement while I search for a way to make a living for the two of us. I hope that my research and the designs it leads to that I have and will continue to post here will aid me in finding an employer who may just see the value in taking on an apprentice that has all the passion, determination, and motivation in the world, has a strong work ethic regardless of the daily, constant pain fighting against him, and yet only severely lacks in the resources to accomplish his goals. I am constantly having new ideas for products or technologies, ideas that could change the way, in part, that we live our daily lives, but I have no way of coming close to realizing any of those ideas. But here's crossing my fingers, putting my best work out there, and doing what I can to make something of myself. As much as I hope one day someone will come along to fund my work, but I'm not stupid, and hard work is the only way it'll ever happen.
