O.K. I'm stuck. How did you print it without supports for the horizontals? Or did you spend an hour cleaning it up?

If you rotate the model so a complete side is down you shouldn't need supports. I don't believe anyone who has printed it has needed to use them.

Yep. It originally came in "upside down" so I tried to print it that way. But I also got support added under all of the horizontals. I'm printing again and except for a few strands running diagonally, it's printing much better. It makes me wonder what the reasonable / theoretical limits are for perfectly horizontal runs for any given diameter of ABS, etc.

I printed it in ABS, I've yet to use PLA.

PS. What do you use as your print surface for ABS? (Looking for an easier way than what I do)

I use blue painters tape.

I run the makerware default, 110F.

Printed it in PLA on my RoBo 3D Printer, it came out great!
