Can I remix this and re-post it? I threw it in meshmixer and cut it into parts, I plan on making it a fully articulated model using fusion 360. I will give you credit for the original basis for the remix. Let me know.

I tried XM.stl file (the one with the platform) but noticed that some of the layers at the shoulder areas were missing and did not print. If you open these files in CURA and view in layers you'll see them missing. Too bad I didn't check before the print. Luckily I only printed it small as a pre print sample.

Any idea what it might be? Or should I try rendering it using another program?

Hello! I have the same problem. 14 hours spend. You can use Autodesk Netfabb, after this on layer view shoulders look normaly.I didn't print after this, but I think it may help

Not much of a surprise with 45 shells and 30 holes.

Puuh, I'm sorry but I have no idea. I checked the file a view minutes ago with 3 different programs and I can't see any problems. As I said I was not able to print this object anyway but as you can see at the Makes it is possible.

Yea, if you open this in in Cura and go to Layer mode you can see multiple layers just missing. Solid view it looks fine but the layer view shows what will actually print. I've seen this happen with different models before. It happens when something has not been compiled correctly and needs to be repaired before being sliced.

Thanks for the reply. I'll follow up as soon as I find out more. And If I get a successful print I'll let you know, with any details I can (^_^).

You could try Mesh Mixer which has an "inspector" and "make solid" function to fix errors with gaps. It's a very powerful free mesh editor

Damn it what's up with the post comment!!?

I didn't actually print this. It just has way too many overhangs and what I said was a joke... sorry

Nevertheless it is possible to print this thing as you can see and I'm sure that it can be rotated into a support-friendly position.
I'll soon release another more upright version of this thing ...

Well, I've tried to print this thing in its normal direction and it needed much support. Maybe it could be an option to try another slicer or tool like Netfab or Meshmixer to find the ideal position for printing.
