The calibration board stand that came with the EinScan-S 3D scanner is a bit troublesome to setup. Designed a 2 piece version to replace it.

I printed in PLA, 10% fill.

Suggest to place the stand on a non-slip silicone sheet during 3D scanner.

Stand is a huge improvement on the original Einscan one, but I still found it slipped on the turntable during calibration. Gluing a piece of non-slip matting to the base of this stand, though, makes it work a dream! :-)

Yup I usually place a silicone sheet to prevent slipping. They should have incorporated some threaded holes on the turntable. That would have made things easier.

How do you like the scanner otherwise?

My 1st scanner was the Matterform, very nice design and compact but produced very crappy scans.
Einscan-S is totally different, the scans are very accurate and not difficult to achieve.
Can't get good texture scans, but I don't really need that.
Scans with the turntable produced good results.
Free scans is still buggy, once I try to align 2 scans, it'll hang.
The software is still abit buggy but I'm sure the Shining 3D team will polish it up. :)
