It's a good concept, but pretty poor execution. I had the idea of using this vice to hold my other prints in for sanding, and the mount bolt hole snapped off instantly when tightening (20% infill, may help if infill was much, much more. I guess there's a reason traditional vices are made of metal and bolted down. Also cannot tighten things in well enough to withstand rigorous sanding.

still printing desk bolt and shim, but 50% seems alright...

What is the thread size of the vice bolt? I'd like to make a bolt that has more of a handle so it is easier to turn.

If you want you can take a look at the bench VISE for CNC mill with removable and interchangeable caps that I created and published yesterday.

Se vuoi puoi dare un’occhiata anche alla Morsa da banco per fresa CNC con protezioni removibili ed intercambiabili che ho creato e pubblicato ieri.

Almost done printing one of these but I noticed that the Vice_Mount_Bolt is too short to clamp to 3/4" plywood. Can you make a longer one?

You can find a longer screw at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2944313
If you don't want to use a bearing, just cut the upper part of the scew when printing.

Bearing mount for SpannerHands desk vice

looks good im printing one now and what is the shim used for exactly

You put it between the table and the clamp bolt. The tab fits into the slot in the base clamp

Modified overhang on first few layers, so you get a better print without supports.
