Hi Wingman94

Just built this and find it superb.

One small suggestion. If the top moves up and down too much how about a screw hole in the back to fit a self tap screw.

Other than that my prints are much better. Well designed.

Thank you!
I will consider your suggestion if I ever make an updated version.

does this work for the standart prusa i3?

would you please tell the thickness of the frame to be holded by the top piece? tnx

The metal frame is 6mm in thickness

Is this valid for Hephestos XL?

Probably not, sorry. You have to check if the feet of the print bed are on the same position as on the regular Hephestos.

Any luck with the xl model?

Do you have any of the original design files? I would like to make this but using 1/4" rods (only because I have lots of unused extra) and add nuts at the top and bottom instead of using glue. (vibrations from printing will eventually weaken the glue)

step files added, I hope that format is ok.

I had no problems with my glued parts yet, but threaded rods should work better over time.

Hi Wingman94,

Is it possible for you to post the RH Rear Part, only the left part is in the File.
I'm changing the base to support some screws to hold the printer on a wood base.

Thank you very much, Nice work you have here.

I added the right side as well.
