Hello Friend. I'm trying to put together the Funbot. When I have done the 1st test, print everything in a single XY plane. Do you have an idea what can happen?

Are your belts loose, or your stepper drivers need adjusting. it looks to be missing steps in both the x and y direction.

The hot end mount plate with sensor support, how do you get that thing attached to the X carriage, nothing seems to match up?

Sorry about that. I made some changes and uploaded them. Should solve the problem.

I will try to get you some pics to see how its mounted tonight or tomorrow.

my bearings on the x-axis and z-axis fit kinda loose, i'd love to see a way to put zipties just like the y-axis or even nuts and bolts

I have the same problem. Did you fix the issue and if you did.. how?
I'm thinking about gluing them in.

Also thinking about drilling the Z mount with a 2mm hole from the side and using a screw to hold the bearings in place.
But that won't work for the X Carriage I'm afraid. The screw will just pop the bearing out.

but for the x axis i just designed a new one like the one from a prusa i3

Do you find that you get any droop when the print-head is far to right, unsupported, on the gantry (like I got with my PrintrBot Simple Maker?

Not that I can tell. Using a Bowden extruder keeps the X axis light. Of the Funbots I've built or the ones I know of, I've haven't heard of anyone having an issue.

the problem with this equation is big gearteeth ,small gearteeth and hob effective
I have only one gear with 40teeth and bearing.
gear diameter 11mm and bore 5mm
Can you explain to me more

e_steps_per_mm = (motor_steps_per_rev x driver_microstep) / (hob_effective_diameter x pi)
ie
e_steps_per_mm= (200 x 16) / (8 x 3.14159)

200 step motor
16 microstep
8mm hob gear
