I think the efficiency can be increased if you try to close the magnetic field lines arounf the rotating disk. In this case use a horse shoe iron core and make the rotating magnet to close the iron circuit. Really don't understand the need of a magnetic core sphere ...

simple, from tests carried out on the iron core, at equal distance, provides less magnetic field in front of a greater effort propeller.

If its a solid iron core probably eddy currents? slowing down the propeller.
I would probably just use a smaller flat coil with the primary magnet rotating inside it almost at the center (offset by the coil height and shaft) (or two coils)
Would still be seal able, only drawback would probably be a slight reduction in the airflow.
But one might save quite some copper, as I assume the field lines would be denser reducing the number of turns required to generate the same voltage.

you're right! In fact my next project concerns the realization of a magnet rotatable within two coils facing directly controlled by propeller.

currently delivers on 3 volts but the magnitude depends on the sphere from the copper wire and the number of coils that form the coil. Certainly be improved in performance.
