Lol: "If I had a 3d printer" - I did not realize it was 2 year old!
Hey Quentin, don't you have more than one nice printer now? :D

I know you warned us not to make this, but I needed to build something at least 3mm to make sure my machine was calibrated to the layer thickness of my black material. This model was perfect for the task, scaled down 50% and rotated into a horizontal position!

Sure it doesn't fly very well, but the delicate lines came out pretty!

It looks almost like insect wings...

Very nice print indeed!

Have a look at this project I did for school a couple of years ago. I made a paper maple key with an egg inside it. It needed to survive a six foot fall.

Now that's a big maple seed...

Maple seeds are flat, it would be a lot easier to print if it was flat and laying down on the platform.

actually, they are not flat, but i do think they are symmetric airfoils.

See: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:10867http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

The flat version seems to be having trouble starting, the first thing i thought was to make it curved, kinda like this one.

Maybe i'll try to make an easier-to-print version tomorrow.
