Made this Soundwave Tardis Transformer for an Instuctable contest, and thought I'd post it up here as well.
I originally only had Soundwave in mind when I was designing this. So all the small details are based around his robot design. But I was catching heck for making the Tardis into a Decepticon so I repainted him and added a second head option to make him Vector Prime. I still think Soundwave would make an awesome Tardis, but anyone making this has their option of which to build.
The files are for the Mark3 version, so the pictures and renders may look different than what you print.
Detailed build instructions and transforming process can be found on the Instructables page: http://www.instructables.com/id/Tardis-Transformer-Pick-your-flavor/
All files synced with my own. So this is the current version posted here as of the 10th.
Added door details, changed the neck transformation back to the Mark1, completly redid the ankles and feet, and tweaked a few dimentions of the joints.
Printed this with a .35mm nozzle at .25mm hieght. Keep support on and I used a 6mm raft.
You'll need one of everything with two exceptions: 8 windows, and 2 outer back support.
Joint holes are 2.5mm. I used 1.78mm nylon filament, but you should be able to drill them out to 3mm if you need to. I'd like to switch the joint holes to 1.75mm filament but I don't have any on hand.
Everything is snap fit, but the tolerances are super tight so a bit of shaving may be required. If you take too much off, or if your joints are lose, hit it with a coat of lacquer paint until it's nice and tight.
Any problems printing, or any questions, feel free to ask!
