Hello Immaginaecrea ,
Thank you for sharing your work.
3.The grooves that hold the glass are what angle to the base, i read in one the forum it should be at 45 degree for best holographic image ?
Thanks
Varzz
Hi Varzz
1) the triangle is not "exactly" an equilateral triangle and measures 100 X 70 X 1.5 mm.
Print the file stl "plexy_CD_DVD. Stl" and use it to trace the cutting lines with a cutter
2) 3 mm thick are too many and the "ghost image" becomes too obvious.
Use the right CD-DVD cases (1.5 mm)
3) the inclination of the plexy is 40 °
What's the dimension of the triangle?
is a equilateral triangle with a crop ... see the image.. ;)
Thank you.
I'm gonna try and print the cd/dvd case portion on PetG Natural and see how it turns out.
Did it work?
grande idea quella della maschera stampata. Bravo !, io avevo provato a farne una incollando i lati, era uscita un disastro.
fighissimo! complimenti Davide!
Grazie Matteo...... bello bello bello non è.... ed ho preso spunto da quelli prodotti "in giro" per il web....... ;).. diciamo che è "caruccio e simpatico"... e funziona ....
Designed something similar; I was working out the bugs before posting. Looks like you beat me to it.
What did you use for the pyramid lenses? A thin acrylic?
Are cd/dvd cases
depends on the size. for small ones, like for phones, all you need is some cd / dvd cases. if you were to build a larger one for a tablet or monitor (what i am doing), you would probably want something like glass. either way, you want it as thin as possible so as to not get 2 images side by side.
