Going to give this a shot. My bearings slide nicely until they are snapped into the original mounts. It seems like the printed mounts included in the kit squeeze the housing of the bearing enough to cause rough travel.
I've been running it for a few weeks now, The larger problem is the bearings, I'm running about to change the whole Y assembly over to V slot assembly in the next few weeks.If you get high quality bearings this def helps remove some of the play
I printed new Y axis bearing holders a month ago. I went for a clamp style design instead of snap in. My bed is much more level now since the original Folger print was pretty rough.

Which ones did you use, cyberkni? I bought good linear bearings for mine, but the stock bearing holders are still crummy.
