I needed to pass an USB cable trough a wall, and i wanted to do it without removing the USB connectors from the cable. In my case the USB cable is going to an WIFI Antenna outside and it should be removable.
So i designed this. It's supposed to keep everything air and bug thight. I cannot garantee it's waterproof but i have used it this summer and we had some very bad rain.
You need 2 Wall plates, 2 Covers and one pipe. The pipe can be adjusted in lenght needed for your wall. The tooth on the pipe is there to seal the cable and goes on the outside.
The rubber of the USB Cable acts as the seal. So results may vary with some thinner or thicker USB cables.
Make it strong, use as many shells you can and be sure to use some infill
The wall plate needs support when printing. I printed them with the pipe down to make sure the tooth stayed nice and clean.
The cover plates need support depending on your printer. But it's important to keep the inside clean. The tolerances are very tight.
The pipe should be printed standing with the tooth at the top to make sure it's nice and round.
