I Came up with these designs January 2013 for the Craftsman/Wai powder coating systems. Replacement cups have become very hard if not impossible to find at least for a decent price.

I Came up with these designs January 2013 for the Craftsman/Wai powder coating systems. Replacement cups have become very hard if not impossible to find at least for a decent price. Read the progress on my thread at http://www.cnczone.com/forums/benchtop_machines/111863-hosss_g0704-358.html#post1224773
I started with the standard cup but then decided to make a couple designs that allowed for more capacity. The XC Extra Capacity version allows for about 3x the powder and can be refilled via a funnel in the port that uses a typical soda pop bottle cap.The SC Super Capacity version allows using a standard 1 lb. powder container ( I get mine from http://www.columbiacoatings.com/store/c/72-Powders.aspx ) Plates are included for easier printing. Be cool and only print these for yourself or a friend. These are published copyright designs not for use commercially. They take a while to print and are not cost feasible to sell anyway.

Wow! This is EXACTLY what I needed! I am a jeweler and I run all of my base metal jewelry thru powder coating so it won't turn people green, lol. The standard cup that came with my gun was fine as long as I was only doing glossy clear, but I just created a jewelry line imitating colored enamel using powder coating and was struggling with my single cup when changing colors. It's IMPOSSIBLE to completely clean out so am looking forward to using your "easy to clean" cup designs! Not to mention the ability to have several. My local library maker space won't open till tomorrow, so now i have to wait.... I'll post my finished pics! THANK YOU!!!!!!

Just got back from dropping files off at library makerspace. They use ABS, is that OK for this project? Also, there looks like there is a mild surface texture in their finished products. She suggested that acetone can be used to smooth the ABS surface out. And to glue the parts together! Is this correct information? Thanks much!!

you, dear sir, are just plain awesome for doing this! The grievances I've had with this powder coating gun are gone!!! Very inventive!

Thank you! Saw your video on youtube and was just about to email you about those printed cups! .. Good thing I checked Thingiverse first! Thanks for sharing this great accessory!

Your #1 in my book!! Got to print me one of those plugs for the side. I believe they ship them broke. And one for my brothers, he bought a unit after he saw mine working. So glad i found you. Keep up the nice work. Thanks, Rick.

All it took for you to share with the world is someone like me to make it available first. LOL Not a bad job but you should try to make one that doesnt leak like mine.

Thanks Hoss. Been a while you have had these i really appreciate your willing to share your files with the rest of us..

Thanks, yeah I got wheelchair ramps put in now so I can get outside at least. Glad to share with people who are cool.
