A propello polyhedra ornament - see thing:1116532 and thing:1119768. D.I. McCooey has described a number of propello polyhedra on his "Visual Polyhedra" web site - http://dmccooey.com/polyhedra/ - This example is an attractive one with 3 bands of 4 sided faces that swirl around pentagons and hexagons. McCooey calls it an Expanded Propello Truncated Icosahedron (canonical). http://dmccooey.com/polyhedra/ExpandedPropelloTruncatedIcosahedron.html Coordinates and faces were downloaded from McCooney's site and used to make two ornaments: a wire frame and a wire frame with pentagonal and hexagonal faces.
Printed without support using default settings. The wire frame model weighs 15 grams and the model with faces 19 grams.
