This was a custom mount as I wanted the camera to be somewhat hidden so it wasn't in the way of my viewing live, but still wanted a good birds eye view of the print. I origionally intended the camera mount to be like the one in the picture you see now, however I have changed it just a tad and mounted it upside down making it more discrete and compact. I will post pictures soon I am doing a test print to see how well it shows and what kind of view it has. This is MUCH better than most others out there and it integrates it into the case and isn't seen.

I am currently working on a Pi 2 case to shorten the length of cable required. Right now I am using a 75cm/750mm 15 pin ribbon cable but you could get away with a 50cm/500mm. I plan on making a setup to use the standard cable that comes with the waveshare/raspicam cameras, reducing the probability of noise in the picture due to length of cable. You could use the metal type rings (I forget the technical name) to help. But for now, I have no noise and is working great.

Any other ideas or suggestions, feel free to share, I will try to accommodate any request!

Thanks and hope you all enjoy!

.27 Or whatever blows your whistle

I used 15 due to size, it seems perfect.

All other parts you will NOT need any rafts or supports, however, the piece that mounts to the frame of the FFCP, you will need supports, and they peel off very easily and it works great!

Other than that, pretty straight forward.

You will need;
Double sided tape
Allen bolt 3mx18mm or longer with nut
15 pin ribbon cable atleast 50cm/500mm

That's pretty much it besides a case that your Pi sits in. I have mine double sided taped to the case of the pi, left side under the carrying hole. Run the cable through there and down to the pi. Soon, that will all change and the pi will be mounted under the printer with the PSU. I am working on a small PCB to supply power and drop it to 5V from 24V and output 3amp 5v power to supply not only the pi and camera, but also a 3.5" or 5" HDMI Touch LCD

Should add a couple of pics showing the cameras view.

Any change of getting your design files up? I'd like to design a version with different mounts.

I have been using this setup in 2 of my FFCPS and it's been working fine. The bracket that mounts to the center screw was modified to run weatherproof 24v LEDs under it.

Have you fully developed this yet?
