Could you please make one of these to fit a nut that take a 9/16th wrench which is a 3/8-16 nut or bolt, thanks

Nice job.

Now if only if only the illusive UNC 1/4-20 Whitworth was more readily available in Sweden since shipping on those little buggers are enough to make you mortgage your house or sell a kidney.

It's a conspiracy I tell you.

Oh well, I'll ask my sister in law to bring a packet next time she visits, it'll pay off when my photographer friends start paying for replacement screws.

I've printed a few of these now on an Ultimaker, hexagonal cavity facing the build platform with support material. Prints great, and works great! 100% infill for strength since its so small

What was the reason you chose to print sideways instead of placing the radial axis flat? Is it more accurate this way?

The STL file is just shown that way for clarity. You can print in any direction you want.

What about using wing-nuts or wing-bolts in the first place?

Wing nuts are no replacement for knobs.

Also see the parametric knob that I posted a couple of days ago at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11797http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... - you can use that to make knobs for anything of any size you like that are very similar to these knobs, though not quite as nice (these have nice rounded edges on the knobbly bits, mine do not currently have that).

When you make molds for stuff, these are free as part of the cavity! Plus it is more fun to print your own.

I shure it. (more fun) :)
