My love affair with Robwzor's GlowaSmoka continues.
I wanted my Zortrax M200 to have a dragon figurehead, but didn't want it to block the temperature-indicating light from my Z-Temp, so I printed the extruder cover in Taulman Blu-Print, which has good transparency, easy support removal, and a nice silvery sheen. I printed it without infill in order to maximize light transmission and minimize weight.
Cycling through the colors on power-up:
Printing at around 215ºC:
The attached zcode file was generated with Z-ABS profile (temperature reduced to 265ºC with Z-Temp) "high" speed, 30º ("light") support, 4 layers top/bottom, 60% fan, normal seam and "Mesh" infill, i.e. hollow, i.e. no infill in order to keep weight low and transparency high.
