This is a ghost cube I designed for my own personal enjoyment. The mechanism is the same as the old Rubik's Cubes and simple enough that it could be printed on (hopefully) most printers. I purchased the hardware and core to make assembly easier and more repeatable
In addition I designed this puzzle in inventor and I included all the files for modification if you want to I would love to see a remix or two. I doubt these are the same cuts as the original Ghost cube but the premise behind the design is the same. My puzzle works like a dream and I am sure you will enjoy yours too!
These settings are what I used The supports are optional. Most of the pieces depending their orientation can be printed without supports
Remove any debris in the center pieces (bases)
My printer got various strands and strings in the hole and it needs to be cleared. I used a tiny screwdriver but just about anything that fits will work.
Assembly consists of analyzing the Ghost STL or Inventor assembly to see where each unique piece goes. And it assembles just like a normal Rubik's cube
Optional: Print or cut out stickers
I did not include sticker templates because I am not using stickers but it is easy to pull the shapes off of Inventor or the STLs if you know what you are doing
Mix it up and solve as many times as you want or even just quit out of frustration no matter what its your puzzle!
I used a base 3x3x3 puzzle design I made to design this puzzle I then modified the exterior to make it into a ghost cube.
