In order to do 2 printing colors on a single extruder you can create 2 separate print files.
Its tricky as you have to use minimal layers so its easy to edit your file. Some slicer tools will allow you to create start and stop layers but you will have to experiment on your own to see what works. This pinwheel was done using 2 files and I manually adjusted the height for the 2nd one to continue where the first one left off.

Modify your "Zing Pen Tool" stick it to the center of the pinwheel and use it as the attachment shaft..

Good looking design.

interesting.. I think more projects should take advantage of post processing via bending and such

how did you do the lettering?

For the lettering I used a trick I created a second file and offset the z cords to continue where the other file left off. The printer then started printing at the 3rd layer height. This is the first time I have ever done this so the experiment went very well.
Thanks for the kind words.

Nice design. This is not really the same but it is a pinwheel: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:19066http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

Nice and it looks like I will be the second. ;) Maybe the first to do text in a separate color the way I did. Thanks for the kind words.

Thats Great! I even signed in to post this. I like the fact that you changed up the filament color too for custom messages, etc.

I will be creating the handle soon.
