Changing the Lyman/Mullier into a faster and easier to use extruder, also trying to make it cheaper then the original Lyman. Tested it at speeds till 3000mm/min or 10 feet/min for 3.00mm filament, currently around +/-0.2mm but believe that can be improved.
Wrote new firmware to use a Arduino DUE and a TFT Touch screen. It's not longer using the RAMPS/MEGA. The Filament sensor was also rebuild, it's using a Teensy (for the moment) and can measure the filament width ~1200 times/second. It's also not sensitive anymore to outside light except direct sunlight.
Firmware includes the audit-trail function as was included in the Mackerel firmware. A windows app is available to log the data for further analyses.
Work in progress! so it will change! In fact this is the 5th prototype. It's vertical because the data shows that the filament consistency is better then with a horizontal version.
