Dust cover for Atari 600 XL and 800 XL parallel bus, modelled after the orifinal cover, often missing on many Ataris. I used FreeCAD for this.

Printed one and it works OK.

The detail around the latch could be improved a bit so that the overhang is easier to 3D print. (The latch part is too detailed for my 3D printer to print properly).

Maybe it would be a good idea to generate a Tree-style support using Meshmixer. You are right. Printers with weak or no no active cooling may have problems with the detail. I printed the covers on my Velleman K8200 and Witbox 2, so i had no thought if it will work well on other printers.

Thanks for the reply (and your model :). I will try with higher resolution and with automatic support.
I'm not really impressed with the original cover (moulded plastic part). I'm tempted to design a better fitting cover that matches the look of the XL better.

Cool. I have tried to make it as original as possible, But looking forward for your version. Btw, The standard support generated by Cura and Slic3r is much harder to remove than Meshmixer and can cause to break the object.
