A long while back Leah asked me to design and print her a vase that would look good even if it didn't have flowers in. After some nagging I eventually got around to it. Glad I did as it's been a fun project.
The vase is designed to be printed without supports.
The vase in the video was printed in PLA , with 0.15mm layer heights.
To use the water tube, fill with water and then lower the vase over it... add flower :-)
With some flowers the vase is a bit top heavy. I've included a 3D printed mold pattern for sand casting a lead weight to fir in the bottom of the water tube.
Remove any stringing with a hot air gun and clean up and rough areas with a file.
The water tube will require sealing with PVA or epoxy.
