I made two of these at one time in PLA with no supports - they came out ok on an M2. I made them on a hairspray coated pyrex plate of the m2. Simplify 3D converted them from inches to metric. They look functional and screw together ok. I have not tried them yet.

I added the model in ReplicatorG and it was so tiny. How much do I have to scale it up?

Thanks all. I tried loading it in Makerware. It says that the model is too small and may have been designed in inches. So it asked me if I want to convert to mm, which I did and it was scaled to the correct size again. Thought you might want to know this.

I don't know as I printed it in actual size in makerware.

Very nice adaptation! :) Like the idea of being a threaded all-3D-printed design.

thanks. You were the one that inspired this project. So it means a lot to me that you like it.

Evolutionary crowded product development at its best :)

miniausführung oder? aber gute idee lg.

Danke! Ich halte ihn für einen ersten Versuch

Hat der Filter mit Skalierung 10 die richtige Größe ?

If both pieces had a side-slot where the filament could be placed, and they were offset from each other when the thread is completely done up, then you wouldn't have to remove the filament from the extruder to add this. This would definitely help the usefulness of this design.

I like that idea. Thanks! I suppose the challenge in the design will be down where the filter nozzle inserts into the top of the extruder. There may not be enough material left. However, the idea is god enough to merit a try.
Thanks for the input.
