Summary

There are many suppliers of PLA and ABS for the UItimaker. Yet they all use different sized spools for the filament. We made this to fit a most sizes your going to find.

Recommended build orientation as pictured. with Support material touching bed. 3mm wall. %60 Fill. Max layer 0.15mm. min layer time 8 sec.

If the small bolts on the ultimaker body are protruding a long way you may need to trim the part to get a better fit.

If you build this too fast your exposing the weakest "grain" direction in the material to the load of the spool, so build it strong. Hope it comes in handy!

I have made this and it printed great on a 2.8mm wall thickness.

Hi BloodBlight. Thanks for the interest. The basic idea of those print details is to get people to print the part to be as robust as possible, while printing in the axis as in the image, the axis lends to better detail with less support needed, but it leaves the part open to the weakness caused by the grain in layering the plastic. How thick a skin did you print?

Preparing to print this now, thanks! It looks great! One question, why a 3mm wall?
