Hexagonal Parametric Boxes made of hexagons. Similar to Parametric Boxes made of Hexagons - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1255039 but hexagonal in shape instead of rectangular. The basic parameters are the length of one of the sides of the base, the height of the box, and the thickness of the walls. One can also choose the size of the hexagonal holes and there are options that allows for the doubling of the patterns on the base and sides. Patterns like those created by thing:1238533 - Rotating Six Fold Ornament - can be used to make the base of the container. OpenSCAD code is included.
The base of container.stl is made completely of hexagons. Container_3, 12, and 22 have bases created from 2 sets of hexagonal arrays, one of which was rotated by 3, 12, or 22 degrees about z. The two arrays were combined to make the bases of the containers. See the image above - as the angle of rotation increases the pattern grows more complex.
