Summary

I noticed my bed springs kept sliding around on the washers, possibly causing leveling issues. I made these simple washers to fix this issue. The top portion of the springs are held in place by the M3 locknut mod on the underside of the bed.

Why would we not use these for top and bottom?

Printed in the PLA that arrived with my Wanhao i3 perfectly... and looks to have cured the bed levelling saga! only used the spring cups as came with metal knurled nuts

Do you still put in the original washers inside this mod?

I have a Maker Select V2.1, and it apparently uses slightly larger springs; I bumped the scale by 15% and they fit with a little wiggle room (10% may have worked, I just chose 15 to be on the safe side because I'm terribly impatient :) ).

Just a heads up for anyone else coming through here, I also have a Maker Select (Plus) and did this at a 1.1 scale as Ahopper says here and they fit perfectly.

These printed great, thanks!

Great work! I just printed these for my maker select and they came out perfect.

rotorhead8, very nice :) So I need three bed spring mods then for my new Wanhao Duplicator I3 I'm receiving: the M3 nuts, the dials and this spring guide. Are the dials with numbers on them good to use with this configuration of yours instead of the knurled knob?

Would you mind sharing all the mods you've done to your printer? I'm excited about tweaking this printer I'm getting, to make it the best it can be. What borosilicate glass plate did you buy?

can you please convert this file to a STL file instead of a obj?

Excellent idea, ill have to print them soon :)

What design are your adjustment screws?

Thanks!

As for the bed adjustment screws, they're these:
