Nice idea. I had a similar one but you beat me 2 it. I'll Have to print one and see how it turns out.

Ps. Do you live in France? Or the USA? Since you don't have a printer I'd be willing to send you one of these as long as the shipping isn't crazy? No charge for printing.

great! i am very happy that you manage to print it, stay me tuned of the work, i can modify it if it need for a clean print.

your proposition to send me one is much appreciated but yes i live in france so i think postage will be expensive for a simple stylo (and its carbon effect too!) but good pics of the print will greatly satisfy me, maybe later someone else near my place will be as nice as you been here...Tkanks.

Save your STLs as binary.

why do you say that? it is already the case.

maybe you have a problem with units. file is in milimeters

I've found saving files as ASCII works much better with replicator g.

Oh, I think the problem is the resolution of your STL. You need to bring the polygon count wayyyyyy down. See if your software has a coarse button on the STL export option.

theses files are binary, and yes resolution is very high on the first file "stylo"

that's why i provided "stylolightstl.stl" with standard export settings in solidworks: half size (for the file, not the part) much less polygons... so you can choose the one that's better fit your needs.

if you say it is better in ASCII i can add it too...

please keep me informed of your experience if you print it.
