I am working on converting the connections on my MPCNC over to RJ45s. For the connections that need beefier wires, like the extruder heater, I plan to use molex connectors. I use my MPCNC with many different tools, so I want as many options as possible on the z tower for connecting to them.
This thing clips on to the z motor mount and provide mounting places for two RJ45s and a four-pin molex connector. There are also eight screw-down terminal points in the back for even more connection options. There are numerous holes all around the frame to make it easy to guide the wire bundles using small bundle ties. There are three holes near each RJ45 mount for inserting a tool to press the catch to insert or release the connector.
This is a work in progress, but this version snaps in place well and is quite usable - I'm just playing with the size of the RJ45 holes to print right on my printer - so I thought I'd upload it, in case anyone is looking for something similar.
I'm printing it in PLA at .3 layer height and 25% infill. I had done a 10% infill but it broke while clipping it on. It needs to print with supports.
