which inner diameter do I need of the cabon Tubes?

4x - 10mm OD/8mm ID Carbon Fiber Tube, 116mm length
1x - 6mm OD/4mm ID Carbon Fiber Tube, 165mm length
2x - 6mm OD/4mm ID Carbon Fiber Tube, 79mm length

Anyone know the size of carbon tubes for 6'?

Thanks for this it looks cracking. What dimensions do you recommend for the rods for a 4" setup rather than 5"?

i've got one hell of a motor/prop combo for you!

Pair the new EMAX RS2205S 2600kv with racekraft 5051 props.

Hey what are the flat squares on the bottom and end of the mid plate tube mounts? They make it even harder to print. Just trying to figure out why they are there? I can easily take them out.

This part is a fucking challenge to print in Nylon. I am considering redesigning it a bit to have less overhangs and better surface contact. It seems like it wasn't really designed to be 3d printed easily.

Edit: I just spent the morning redesigning the mid plate to not need supports! Here it is, along with my vtx mod. I'm really curious what you think of this and if you see any issues. Looks awesome! I will be building it soon. The biggest issue that I can see from the photographs is the lack of a good mount for the vtx. Antennas ripping VTXs apart in crashes is definitely a big issue.

How would you feel about extending the top plate out and putting a hole for the vtx and antenna to clamp through to each other, if you understand what I mean. Since you were nice enough to include the CAD files, I would be happy to try to model that.

I thought about that but hard mounting VTXs in my opinion is bad idea. You stress the SMA connector if the CF is thick enough. If it isn't, you end up breaking the CF. This top plate is 3d printed so it's even weaker.

I mount all my VTXs the way it is shown in the pic. VHB the vtx to the back of the camera and include a ziptie just in case. Use a stubby antenna to keep things low profile. Added benefit is that the antenna will always be pointed upward relative to the camera (since it's mounted perpendicular to the camera) and thus keep the nullzone away from your rx.

You're welcome to modify the files and remix though! Have fun!

Those are DAL 5045 v2 tris. Great remix!

Rad! Those are very similar to the kingkong 5045x3 I just ordered. I also have the red bottom rs2205 2300kv. I think our builds will be very similar. I'll be sure to post a make when it is done in a couple weeks.

In the readme file are a list of necessary components as well as assembly instructions. If you have any questions, feel free to post it in the RCGroups thread as there are many experienced uber pilots there!

Your pretty rad dude pretty rad I'm gonna put it together this weekend I'll hit you up with pics... I'm gonna run all the power to two washers and feed the led's and fpv with their own bec's no pdb needed. also gonna try and fit a toroidal coil with capacitor in to kill the noise..... tryin to go super crazy simple

Any chance we could get a recommended component list for the rest of the build?

Parts are always evolving in the quad world so it's hard to recommend a great BOM without having it get outdated in a couple months.

What did your overall flying weight come out to? By the way this thing is awesome! Definitely going to build one.

If you build it right, you can have a AUW of 355g with a 1000mah battery. Über light!

If you build it, I would highly recommend printing in nylon. That as been the toughest material so far and very resistant to crashes. PETG comes second. ABS third.

I was planning on printing with Nylon. It is by far the strongest material. I recommend Taulman 910. Your description only mentions PETG and ABS, you might mention nylon or even link to Taulman's site.
