Keep your valuables and secrets safe by hiding them in plain sight. This Model prints easily in only 3 pieces and looks quite convincing. The safe is held shut with friction and opens with the pull on the book mark ribbon. Printing the book cover upright is recommended. The cover will have a tendency to warp so make sure your bed is level. We used a small amount of PVA glue on a glass build plate to make sure warp was minimized.
Print the book center WITH support.
It is a good idea to assemble the lever before installing the book center. Pass a ribbon through the slot and glue it to the short end of the lever. For a standard office rubber band, double up the rubber band and wrap it around the back of th
The book center is a VERY Tight fit. We used a bit of soap and used a rubber mallet to get it into place. You could scale the model down in makerware if you want but we wanted a perfect fit look with no gap.
