Keep your valuables and secrets safe by hiding them in plain sight. This Model prints easily in only 3 pieces and looks quite convincing. The safe is held shut with friction and opens with the pull on the book mark ribbon. Assembly is a snap and only requires a rubber band, a ribbon, and super glue.

Printing the book cover upright is recommended. The cover will have a tendency to warp so make sure your bed is level. We used a small amount of PVA glue on a glass build plate to make sure warp was minimized.

Print the book center WITH support.

It is a good idea to assemble the lever before installing the book center. Pass a ribbon through the slot and glue it to the short end of the lever. For a standard office rubber band, double up the rubber band and wrap it around the back of th

The book center is a VERY Tight fit. We used a bit of soap and used a rubber mallet to get it into place. You could scale the model down in makerware if you want but we wanted a perfect fit look with no gap.

can someone please give me the dimensions of the inside of this box. I want to know want can put in it

If this prints in 3 pieces, then why are there 4 file designs? Do I need to print all of them? To me, it seems like I need the cover (that is what is seen), the center drawer (in white for pages), book center lock (also white because of pages), and the lever. So I think I need all 4 files, but I want to make sure before I start printing.

Do you think this would still work at 70% scale (use for gift card holder)

Any chance that you tried this out?

I think I have all the parts printed out successfully, however I'm having trouble getting the drawer to pop out at the right time. Do you have any prep suggestions to help with that?
It's either I keep ripping the ribbon trying to get the lever to push the drawer out which I've tried making the little bar on the center drawer fit better with the center lock. The other problem is I string too many rubberbands and it pops out on it's own some of the time.

I want to print one of these for my little sister to have some privacy. Any chance you could add the words "holy bible" to the cover? My parents won't bat an eye at the thing when i visit if I give her what they think is a joke gift, but they will be curious if it's just a fake book. lol

I can do that for you, and we'll be selling these (with attribution of course) on our online store and Etsy very soon. PM me.

You're a genius :-) Nice model as always!
