Anyone able to make a C270 adapter for this?

In a pinch I've just wrapped the articulating part of the camera around this mount, if they don't have a threaded tripod hole. (You still have vertical angle adjustment in the head; horizontal is a little trickier.) It's probably easier to drill and tap than design, but I'm happy to be shown wrong. In most of these cameras the lowest articulating part is encased steel, and will probably tap reasonably.

Very bad idea to put anything magnetic on the frame.....may damage motors

I haven't had any issues, and a couple of Afinia printers I've seen even use them right on the extruder stepper. Could you detail the problems you've seen?

I made a similar camera mount and put neodynium magnets on the printer frame, after a couple of weeks, i had to replace the stepper on that side. a couple of weeks later same thing.
After that i removed the magnets and have had no problems since.
Could be a coincidence, maybe both steppers where faulty.

I'll keep an eye out. Would be interesting to tear apart one of those dead steppers and check for clues.
