Summary

We've been using the Corner Glass Clips +3mm with our FlashForge Creator Pro printers at TheLab.ms Makerspace for quite a while now, and we're quite pleased with them.

We've been using the spare wing nuts that shipping with the printers, and one of those wing nuts eventually stripped an M3 screws. Those wing nuts are only a few threads deep, and that put a lot of stress on the threads on the bolt.

These knobs are designed to fit an M3 12mm brass standoff. With 12mm worth of thread, I don't think we'll be stripping any more bolts.

I sized the hole to print just barely too tight to fit the standoff. I used my soldering iron to heat up the standoff and press it down into the knob.

Very good idea, i think for install you may be better to taper the one side of the hole a bit and then use a long screw and large washer run right through and then tighten the screw to draw the nut inside, then you;ll get perfect depth and perfect center every time... great design though, i think i'll use this for my printer.

I haven't actually taken these over to test fit them on our FlashForge printer yet. They'll definitely fit, but I know those M3 bolts on the corners of the bed are pretty long, and I didn't think to measure them the last time I was at the makerspace. I'm worried that they're longer than 12mm, and they'll need to poke through the other side of the standoff. It is OK if they do, though, because I left the other end of the knob wide open.

I'll be sure to report back after we've been using these for a few weeks!
