If you have a set of double doors, they are often rebated where they meet to make the door a bit more airtight and private. You may notice that if a lock doesn't have the rebate built into the tang and striker plate, it may use a block to extend the lock tang out to be square with the door so it meets the receiving striker plate. This block allowed me to use a normal lock tang..
