Sliders for 2020 extrusion and Openbuilds Part Store Solid V Wheel kit. This is an adaptation of many designs for sliders that I have seen. This is a two part slider with the front (inside) piece capable of mounting any carriage with 20 mm x 20mm screw spacing for 3mm screws. There is a screw to adjust the wheel tension on the extrusion. The slider is sized for the regular 2020 extrusion that comes with the Kossel 2020 printer kit from Folgertech. I don't know how this would work with the V-slot extrusion. I am using the carriage design that came with the kit except that I have added a hole for an adjustment screw on the top to make end stop settings more precise.
Based on requests, I have modified the design to work with the Mini V Wheel. I have not tested this as I do not have the mini V wheels. I adjusted the bolt axle spacing based on the published diameters of the two types of wheels. You will have to provide your own spacers or modify the sketchup files. Please leave me a comment if you try the mini v wheel sliders and they work or don't work..
Update: Added .stl and .skp files for carriage with extended belt attachment studs. This allows the belts to be aligned with the pulleys.

There are several versions included for download. Each slider requires a front (inside) and a back (outside). The components can be printed with integral 10mm spacers or they can be printed without spacers and used with separate spacers of the desired depth. There are also two versions of the back (outside). A full version has the same outside dimensions as the front (inside) while the cutaway version has the extraneous material removed for weight savings.
If using the original nylon wheels, use the 8mm spacers.
Each slider requires three 5mm x 40mm hex head bolts.
The Solid V wheels come with a 5mm nylock nuts.
Any carriage with 20x20 spacing can be used and is attached with 3mm screws and 3mm nylock nuts.
The tension adjustment screws are 3mm x 25mm.
I think the stock sliders on the Kossel 2020 printer are a weakness in the design. The Openbuild Parts Store Solid V wheels are far superior to the wheels that come with the kit. I also wanted to add support on the back (outside) of the extrusions to give the wheels a more stable axle shaft. The captive hex head bolts are easier to assemble than the flathead philips screws that come with the kit.
