Shell speaker inspired by B&W nautilus speakers and polymakers OpenSCAD design, I wanted something big to print on my new printer.
Uses a 4" full range driver, (NOTE: it is sized for a SEAS FU-10RB speaker, where the external frame diameter is 98mm, for larger drivers you'll have to modify the OpenSCAD code)
I've only printed a half size version on my i3, so far, as a test, but I'm looking forward to printing some full size ones in copper and cork later.
Check out my other sphere speaker for the additional parts you need to finish this. You'll also need some silicone sealant or epoxy resin to fill the hole from the bottom once you've got your speaker wires in.
I've only printed a 50% size one with some REALLY cheap PLA, while waiting for my big printer.
Sliced this with Simplify 3d, only applying support under the little round hole (this might not be needed)
OpenSCAD for the shape then Meshmixer to smooth and fix it up a bit.
