The Pill Pill Bottle
The Pill Pill is the last capsule you'll ever need to hold your pills, coins, gummy bears, glasses, teeth, band-aids, trinkets, tactical chocolates, emergency hot sauce rations, or any other assorted bric-a-brac. Printed at 75% scale, it is about the size of a regular pill bottle. Print it at 100% for larger items like a candy bar or a hidden set of keys, or scale it down even further for smaller knick-knacks like beads, buttons, jewelry, and small pebbles and baubles.
- Featuring an advanced 3 way locking mechanism, it seals tightly and securely every time.
- For optimal performance, an o-ring can be added for a firm waterproof seal.
- If you scale it down to 75% from any size, it will nest neatly inside its self.
- Works wonderfully at any size!
The walls are thick, making the structure extremely strong and resilient to dropping. The ends are weighted so the halves will stand upright without falling over.
Print two of each half in each color and mix and match them. Use rafts and supports if you want the ends to come out nice and smooth.
MaverickMario's design was intended to be printed huge, for a life size Dr Mario prop. When scaled down its walls became too thin and it didn't work right for me. I started out by modifying it to print at the smaller scale that I wanted, to use it as an actual container. I thickened the walls and made the ends heavier so they would stand up. Then I modified it so that the two halves meet up flush with each other in the center. Over several iterations, I ended up engineering a whole new locking mechanism and beefing up the entire design.
