Do you use supports? Do you print it flat on its back?

Flat on back but limited supports.

any one else have an issue printing the cover?

I am as well. Cura doesn't show the sides as printable only the bottom and wheels

Can you be more specific? The original cover, the redesigned cover? What issue are you having?

I redisigned it so have fun

Hello, I'm new to 3d printing, having just received my own 3d printer for Christmas. I have Windows 3d builder on my laptop and a program that came with my Flashforge Finder. Can this communicator be scaled and printed for use with JJ Abrams movie figures?

You mean like toy figures? I am not sure the final quality would make you happy.

Yes, 3.75" figures. I'll probably try it anyway to see what happens.

I am certain the screen won’t print. And most of the details. Too small for the nozzle.

This is pretty close in size to my car remote, which had a damaged casing. If I can get this adjusted to be the new casing, I'll let you know. Just need to add access to insert the electronics and allow battery replacement :-)

Hey thehaggard, great communicator. I just made a cover that fits your communicator body. Feel free to incorporate it into your model if you like the look of it. If not, that's cool, too. You can find it here. Hope this helps. Take care. -Jeff
