This are alternative Filament Spool Holders for Raise3D printers N2 and N2+ (N2+ untested).
I designed them because the originals had too much friction to the spools and created rattling sounds. Initially I thought this was a problem resulting in some air prints. In the meantime I know that it might be a piece of a puzzle, but not the only cause.
I minimized the friction by using 4 ball bearings of type 688 per holder.
I ordered these ball bearings:
I used a small rubber mallet to get the bearings on the holder. In case they are too loose you can tighten them by using M2.2 screws for plastics. But in my case this wasn't necessary.
The fixation parts I glued with double-sided tape on the printers base. I also sticked some very small rubber feets to the bottom of the holders.
Before printing, please verify that your spools fitting to the holder! Also the height of the rubber feets and double sided tape should be matched to my design.
Added 2 additional variants of the small holder for different filament spool sizes.
Replaced 55mm wide holder by 56mm wide one, as it seems to fit better for spools by eSun.
I used R3D PLA for these prints.
Most likely you can try to decrease print resolution...
