Did you have to glue the bearings in place? I've put them in the holders but they feel a little loose.

Nope, they seemed fairly snug for me as is.

Ended up using a small drop of superglue to hold them in place as they were a little loose for me.

Here's my modified version of your X motor mount assembled with the bearings, nuts, spring, etc. The bearings press in very smoothly; great work there!

I was hoping to replace them soon, glad someone make the model for lm6uu !

I haven't tested them yet, but I used Jean-Marcs original solid works model and his dimensions so it should be ok. Also I should point out I modded his experimental branch. The only difference to the x axis (as far as I know) is that you can tension the X axis by moving the motor, rather than using the wire on the carriage. You'll need to print out his new x carriage for this....

oh great I didn't noticed that new motor-tensioning thing ! (which is very comfortable for having tested that on the Orca and integrated it also in my vertX)

I've been working on an upgrade for this that includes a captive M3 nut (and matching screw hole) to put in an adjustable Z stop; is there any chance you could add this to your design? I don't have the CAD system that will work with J-M's models :(

Also, I think it would be very helpful to have a section of the holes for the 6mm smooth rod either larger ID or just open up the squarish hole to reach the 6mm bores; they are very hard to drill out to size and they don't NEED to be tight all the way down!

I've uploaded my mount with the Z-stop: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14048http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

Thanks,

Rod
